Yes, in the beaches of Casa and in the foots of the mountains of the Atlas mountains, we finds that the Polka lives in the hearts of the many peoples in Moroc. Many and so many peoples have asked us, where are youse polka nutso , why have you asked us where are we. Well Yosh and Stan were burned ups. As they saying says, we burned the candles till they were burned. We had so many places, so many more places as the fans ...they just needed the polka . So went to the beaches of Casablanca to relax and looked for our groove and we founds to us, our groove. Watch out for our new tour. We are looking at it call the Crazy Diamond Polka tour. Get readies to us.

Yosh and Stan ( me!) were sitting in the shop while our polkabus was being fixed up. Who would have had thoughts that the blue smoke behind us was from the Polkbus? So goods things we did not have a polka gig to go to till later this month. While we were having our home made cabbage rolls we had reflections of some kinds about our past tour and what came to our minds was this lady in Marrakech. She asked for our autographs..she was a Polka fan like no others. See her big smile as she sees her Polka stars.

SOON TO PUBLISH BIOGRAPHY OF POLKA BAND GOBI

It is unfortunate that it has taken this long, this length of time to have in print, the definitive biography of the world’s greatest Polka Band.i. Many of their finest moments from their Worlds tours ( as they called them) have been personally experienced by me and the many fans of the Polka Worlds. Questions are too numerous to mention, such as” Why did Yosh decide on the accordion and not the trumpet or the Cello or the flute. Or why Stan blame the bees for his unique accordion style on his rendition of Comfortably Numb. These and many other questions, yes many other questions will be answered in the biography. I have been personally selected by the President the Polka Band Gobi Fan Club to write this bio. I have traveled the Worlds with the Gobi Band and I have stories that will be forever told to fans, the children of the fans and to their children of the fans. How to start? CINEMA RIALTO IN CASABLANCA

 Can you imagines Yosh and Stan playings the Rialto in Casa.  We (Stan and Yosh) can. If  you don't imagines it then the imagines will not come to pass.  I thinks this is a true thing.  We used our imagnines to travel the worlds and bring the polka to everyone ( or most everyones).  So we (Yosh and Stan) needed to have a retreat from our worlds tour so we decided to spend some times and get some rest from the grinds of touring.  So many fans miss us I know but we will finish our retreats and tour again, this we know. We were walking  in Casa and saw this theatre.  Can you imagines the thousands of people filling up this theatre to hear us play the polka!!  we can

 Charlie sent me a photo today of Bozena ( or Chuck for short). As many of our fans from Cheektowaga and Tonawanda ( nears Buffalo) knows, Chuck was with us when we play and wowed the crowds back in our days back then .. Charlie drives the tours buses that take the peoples to the tours of where we started before our worlds tour. We could not take Chuck with us but Chuck or better know as Bozena is well cared for with Charlie.

That is one cutesy smile from Chuck.  He or she always gave us a nice smile when he or she heard us play the polka .

I is hots in the desert...the Sahara place..a desert

 

Of course you all wonderings where PBG has been and whats Stan and Yosh have been up toose. Well lets me tell you ...hint hint...it is hots in the Sahara desert.  Touring the worlds has been hard on us and we needs some time to get away from life on the roads . Our tour bus (VW) also needs some times to relax ( joke).  We even have some of our fans come to see us here and some nights we will pull out the accordions and do some of that Flyod music and some DC/AC to a polka beets. We look at the stars in the sky and then we (Stan and me) talk about life on the roads. So stay tuned in..we may be in your necks of the woods.

I thinks this disguises would work if I was in some other country place than here where I am. So polka fans I hopes that the polka music is still beatings in your hearts. Casablanca which was not that long agos We played the song .".learning to Polka.".and some peoples in the row were singing learning to fly as they say that it sounds like the same tune to the Floyd brothers. These peoples are our vice president and president.  they love the Polka and have the polka beatings in their hearts. They told me they love it when we, that is Stan and Yosh plays the song...Shines on your crazy diamonds.  News that is very hots...we the band , Polka Band Gobi are getting readys for out next worlds tour.  Yes..this is a true thing.

BACK TO OUR ROOT

Surprise , surprise .  We, Stan and I were so surprised but first lets me backs up and tell you the story of our surprise .  We, the band..the Polka Band Gobi band also known as "The Band" to those in the knows did a surprise concert for all our fans in East Tonawanda last week .  Imagine this...you are playing your accordion...the crowd is going wilds with the polka music  and coming out of the audience are the president and vices president of the East Tonawanda chapter of Polka Band Gobi.
With their new tshirts of our WORLDS TOUR!!.   They requested their favorite polka song, Born to be Wilds...and we played it till our fingers bled. And then these two fans took us to a restaurant for
perogies and we felt we had gone to Polka heaven.  True polka fans are special as you can see...they are a special kind of peoples  .  We are now back in Morocco.

Imagine playings to your worldwide fans.  Going into the nights and have them going very wilds with the polka music and watching Yosh play the accordion and the whole time the polka music is beatings in your heart and their heat beats .  And then imagine walking the streets to feed your polka heart with some good Moroccan food  And imagine you finds the perfect place to do this feeding   We fed our polka hearts beats in  Casa...at this place...

We are a hip Polka band this is a true things. Hips says so much about the polka life we live...the fans...the ..so many things too many to mention.  If I mention all the hip things it would be so many things.  It would fill up many pages of books if I were to say all the things about the polka life.   If you look hard you may see Stan carrying the accordions to our gig in Meknes. This big building is a train station and since we want to be with the fans and the peoples we travel by the train.  Good trains in Morocco.

Life on the Polka road is the road most traveled...so many fine peoples walk this road and some even run on this road.  We drive this road and it is a fun road to drive on when there are no ruts or nails on it that stick in your tires. Not many peoples can say they were at Ricks Americano Cafe Casablanca when Polka Band Gobi brought the house down. This is not  the Rick's Cafe in Casablanca, this is the Americano Ricks, the other Ricks.  We brought it down ...all the ways to downtown.   Just so you know we did find ourselfs in the desert. This I am sure you want to know .  We carries  on  to bring the perfect polka to one and everyones and to you too. This is true.  I will find the newspaper article that will let you know how we rocked this gin joint.   Gets ready to find this out.

BACKS TO OUR ROOTS

We found us on the Road to Marrakech and in the Sahara. Yes we did.

Yosh says to me ( Stan)... I reads that some bands go back to their roots  and we needs to go
back to our roots.  Yosh, what do you means by roots, I ask him ( Yosh) and he ( Yosh) says to me
...Stan...don't be  a stupid man.  Our roots...our polka roots...Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Iggy and all the bands that love us... and follow us...we need to get to our roots.
I say okay, lets get to our roots.  I know our roots are near and we will find these things of this I am a sure thing.

So here we are, practicing to all the crowds .  We are insides this place .  We are the house band
This is where we will find our roots.  We play .  We sing.  We plays the polka..we are Polka Band Gobi and no other polka band and can say that!

When you thinks of innovation most every persons thinks of Polka Band Gobi..we are known for this, yes we are. We want to shows you the cover for our brand new  Polka album...THE WHITE ALBUM ! How abouts that for innovativeness!. An album just called the White Album, who would evers have thoughts of this idea ?

Yosh and Stan, that is who has thoughts of this and this says a lots about us two ( or three if you count another person or two and don't forget our new drummer who sure knows how to add that Cuban drum beat to our Polkas.)

We records this album to our almost sold out crowds while we were in the Sahara. We thinks this is the first time the Polka was played in the Sahara... yes we do think this thought.  And we do think of other thoughts from time to time too.

Can you imagines playing Back in the USSR with our accordions and our new drummer in the desert.  I bet you can.

We found us in the Atlas Mountain Place

You know how it is. We have all been theres.  You play the Polka and you plays the Polka for days on end. The fans they go really wild like. They can't get enough of the Polka music but  you do need to take a  break from all the polka playing and you go away to find yourself. So we went to the Atlas mountains to find us.We looked and looked and I think we found us somewheres in the mountains.
We did that in Morocco, yes we did this. This is me ( Yosh) and Stan and our numbero uno polka fan in the Atlas mountains looking for ourselves.  We saw ourselves in the distance far away and I want you to see us looking for us.
